    Job Description & Requirements

    The Production Planning Supervisor provides support and direction to the plant in areas of responsibility including administration, scheduling, purchasing, and inventory management while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards. 

    • Purchase all ingredients, packaging, resin, liquid sugar, ink, and all safety items.
    • Ordering powders on Dairy.com
    • Order thru COUPA Grainger and Veritiv.
    • FedEx shipping
    • Set up trucking for Wendy’s loads going to KC and Utah.
    • Transfers to other plants via Visible and FedEx.
    • Ecolab PO’s
    • Setting up items in DMS
    • Maintaining inventories in DMS for month end
    • Daily inventories
    • Month end cycle counts
    • Reconciling of inventories
    • Working with David Pavao on filling orders to other plants
    • Coaching and observations
    • Attend daily and SO&P meetings.
    • Run and work on PIT’s and Kisains
    • Ensuring raw milk orders are balanced with DFA
    • Monitoring the RMU to ensure accuracy
    • Working with production to ensure batch sheet, production sheets are accurate for Market Administrator.
    • Leading end of month inventory reconciliations for MIP, cooler, freezer
    • Supervising (2) FTE – Warehouse foreperson and Purchasing Clerk
    • Doing what is asked to help out on anything else.

     

    Minimum Requirements:

    To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to do all essential duties effectively:

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • 3 years related experience
    • Food processing experience is preferred
    • Thorough understanding of regulatory laws 
    • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong leadership skills
    • Team oriented
    • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions
    • Basic understanding of budgeting and cost control
