    Job Description & Requirements

    • Assists with preparation of financial statements, footnotes and other disclosures for SEC Forms 10-K and 10-Q, and other SEC filings as needed.
    • Performs technical accounting research and prepares supporting documentation, analyses and accounting whitepapers for technical accounting matters as assigned.
    • Coordinates with external auditors for quarterly reviews and year-end audit process.
    • Coordinates and ensures compliance with SOX controls across the Corporate Accounting & Financial Reporting team.
    • Lead preparation of retirement plan financial statements and coordinate annual audits with HR and external auditing firm.
    • Assists with governmental reporting.
    • Prepares monthly journal entries and account reconciliations as assigned.
    • Identifies, leads and participates in process improvement projects across the Corporate Accounting & Financial Reporting team.
    • Assists in the execution of quarterly SOX sub-certification process.
    • Provides support for quarterly earnings release process as needed.
    • Provides support for the annual Proxy statement filing as needed.
    • Assists with special projects and other duties as needed.

    Job Requirements:

    • Undergraduate degree (B.S. or equivalent) in Accounting.  Advanced degree in Accounting preferred.  
    • CPA or current CPA exam candidate strongly preferred.
    • Minimum of 3-5+ years’ progressive experience.
    • Experience in Big 4/national firm public accounting or combination of public accounting and industry strongly preferred.  
    • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience with SEC filings and/or technical accounting research required.
    • Self-starter with a high degree of initiative.
    • Demonstrated aptitude for change management and process improvement.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail are critical to success in this role.
    • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple activities with a strong personal commitment to meeting deadlines.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively interface with multiple levels of management, are critical to success in the role.
