Lehigh Valley Dairy Farms a part of Dean Foods® located in Lansdale, PA has an opportunity for a Pricing Manager III this job is part of the commercial organization reporting directly to the VP of Sales for Mid Atlantic Division and will be based out of Lansdale, PA with approximately 15-20% travel to various locations in the division. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field and 3-5 years experience in sales, sales analysis, or category/space management. Job Description & Requirements

Functions as the divisional on site dairy pricing expert. Manages a team of analysts to assist the in-house sales force with both the daily tactical and the strategic tasks needed to execute the national and divisional milk strategy. Oversees the calculation and analysis of the data to interpret and make recommendations that leads to increased sales and market share, while supporting the Dean Foods sales initiatives.  

  • Participates, as needed, in Dean Foods sales calls on customer as well as RFPs, including building sales stories presented to the customers corporate and their division level management and makes recommendations to senior management on pricing strategies and protocols.
  • Manage all promotional TPR and Ad contracts with customer
  • Oversees the maintenance of the monthly cost files and customer retail pricing zones 
  • Monitors monthly cost discrepancies and audits 
  • Manages the implementation of monthly cost changes using various FMO’s (Federal Market Orders) 
  • Oversees the maintenance of monthly retail price survey from field sales for upcoming customer pricing decisions that manage retails by fat level and package size for their retail pricing zones by maintaining tools of margin for customer monthly retail pricing decisions.
  • Work with FSD’s and dairies to ensure in-store execution of monthly promotional plans and void closures 
  • Oversees pricing structure to assist sales function with divisional promotion development and implementation on key product launches 
  • Oversees a team of pricing analysts and uses Dairy industry knowledge to train and develop team members to understand current conditions as it impacts pricing and communicate possible actions/effects to team members
  • Guides team members to identify customer margin issues and work with sales to identify and implement process improvements to resolve.
  • Monitor data integrity with respect to all pricing in the division in order to develop pricing protocols using sales and customer input while keeping bottom line profit in mind.  
  • Use commodity market prices to make monthly price change recommendations to senior management
  • Oversee and develop any ad hoc pricing-related reporting to senior management to support their decision-making process
  • Develop and manage Standard Operating Procedure for eCRP and help manage department leads. (Enhanced Customer Replenishment Program.)
  • Manage and validate the Divisional Monthly Pricing process creating checks and balances within the department.
  • Implement weekly data scrubs for pricing, MA /PMMB market areas, and SDW market keys.


 Job Requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business or related field.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience sales, sales analysis or category/space management experience  
  • Experience with understanding syndicated retail information and sales analytic software (IRI/Nielsen, JDA Space Planning, etc.) 
  • Skilled in data retrieval and database manipulation and organization 
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have an understanding and maintain updated knowledge of current milk laws for the various states within the division.
