Job Description:      

 

The Sr. Sales Pricing Analyst will assist the customers in-house with both the daily tactical and the strategic tasks needed to execute the customers national milk strategy becoming the onsite dairy pricing expert. You will also use insights and data to interpret and make recommendations that leads to increased sales and market share, while supporting the Dean Foods sales initiatives.  

  • Actively participate in all Dean Foods sales calls on customer including building sales stories presented to the customers corporate and their division level management 
  • Prepare presentation material for and actively participate in FSD Call owner meetings 
  • Support and manage all analytical needs of customer, their Senior Buyers and Dean Foods’ National Account Director using both Dean Foods shipment (SDW) and scan data  
  • Manage all promotional TPR and Ad contracts with customer
  • Manage all store transitions – store openings, format changes, relocations and closings 
  • Maintain monthly cost files and customer retail pricing zones 
  • Monitor monthly cost discrepancies and audits 
  • Maintain existing tools and develop new ones to identify distribution opportunities by product and by dairy 
  • Support annual customer reset schedule with cooler capacity tools, tracking and support          
  • Implement monthly cost changes using various FMO’s (Federal Market Orders) 
  • Maintain monthly retail price survey from field sales for upcoming customer pricing decisions that manage retails by fat level and package size for their retail pricing zones 
  • Maintain tools of margin for customer monthly retail pricing decisions          
  • Remain updated with current milk laws and states 
  • Work with FSD’s and dairies to ensure in-store execution of monthly promotional plans and void closures 
  • Assist with regional promotion development and implementation on key product launches 
  • Actively participate in customer Vendor Trade Show and other key customer events
  • Lead customer specific special projects as needed 

 

  • Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required (internal Dean Foods knowledge/experience will be considered in lieu of a degree) 
  • 3 - 5 years of CPG sales, sales analysis or category/space management experience  
  • Experience with understanding syndicated retail information and sales analytic software (IRI/Nielsen, JDA Space Planning, etc.) 
  • Skilled in data retrieval and database manipulation and organization 
  • Ability to travel as needed (approximately 5-10%) 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
