    Job Description & Requirements

    The Assistant Treasurer Director will provide analytical support to the Treasurer.  In addition, they should expect to interact with various senior executives within the company as well as a number of our financial / banking partners. Together, with the rest of the team, the Assist Treasurer will play a key role in:

    • Help the existing team with planning and execution of the daily cash management deliverables or activities covering multiple portfolios and entities. 
    • Develops and delivers weekly/monthly/quarterly reports for senior management with key specifics on variances; develop and execute key treasury benchmark metrics with monthly reporting to management
    • Ensure cash forecasting is consistent with the company’s projection models.
    • Assisting in the development and analysis of potential alternative financing structures and their impact on our capital structure and P&L. This will include but not be limited to corporate wide leasing programs, interest rate strategies, etc.
    • Help lead the capital raising process in addition to any modifications or amendments or renewals of existing credit facilities.
    • Being one of the primary contacts for the management and negotiation of our surety bond broker/carrier relationships including common billing practices and working closely with our operations to ensure the timely renewal, issuance or cancellation of new/existing bonds.
    • Managing the letter of credit portfolio and ensuring the timely renewal, issuance or cancellation of new/existing letters of credit.
    • Managing the monthly reporting and annual audit requirements associated with our existing Accounts Receivable Securitization program.
    • Preparing the quarterly compliance package for our credit facilities for further review and sign off by the Treasurer.
    • Assist with cash management operations.  Create efficiencies and effectiveness throughout our treasury management and disbursements operations via the implementation of best practices and vendor consolidation.
    • Further interpreting, analyzing, advising on policies, procedures and internal control issues (Sarbanes Oxley) with respect to corporate treasury and cash management.
    • Aid the team’s 90 day rolling cash forecast by revamping and effectively providing oversight.
    • Preparing the monthly hedge effectiveness/ mark to market calculations associated with our interest rate hedge portfolio for further review and sign off by the Treasurer.
    • Preparing and delivering interest rate roll notices and other necessary correspondences related to our Credit Facilities.
    • Reviewing and approval of the monthly interest expense tracking log and preparing/providing related internal reporting.
    • On an as need basis, working closely with our corporate accounting group, internal and external auditors and other departments within Dean Foods Company.
    • Assisting in the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Prepare the analysis that enables the Treasurer to lead the Company's efforts to better understand the appropriate capital structure and how business and funding decisions impact the return on invested capital.
    • Prepare DCF analysis related to fair value testing for external auditors
    • Prepare funds transfer requests for bond payments, dividends, and related transaction fees
    • Update sell-side analyst estimates and comparable company analysis for investor relations
    • Develop plans to ensure liquidity and lowest cost of capital for the Company. Control debt and covenant compliance.
    • Manage finance relationships, including commercial and investment banks, bond holders, credit rating agencies, and other providers of services for treasury operations.

     Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in business required; MBA is a plus.
    • 7- 10+ years of quantitative analysis experience; prior exposure and experience to the capital markets.
    • Must possess and demonstrate extensive Excel financial modeling skills (building and utilizing models) including but not limited to M&A and divestiture activities, capital structure “what ifs” and forecast updates.
    • Ability to demonstrate skills in critical reasoning; process analysis.
    • A high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
    • Ability to operate independently, with minimal direction.
    • Ability to work within a matrixed and fast paced team environment.
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
