    Job Description & Requirements

    The Finance Manager, Revenue Management will be responsible for providing general pricing direction and analyzing product performance. The position will run statistical based analyses in support of developing pricing architecture, promotion effectiveness, and overall use of trade spend within the branded and private label portfolios. This person will manage analyses of market trends, product volume, gross price, net margin, share, promotional tactics; and provide recommendations to management.

    This role will be the main point of contact between the Field Division teams and Dallas HQ; thus requiring strong communication and leadership skills. Serve as the central resource for implementing pricing strategy, trade analysis, and price reporting across the Commercial/Sales team. Conduct price modeling, focusing on price elasticity and price gap management, using tools and approaches formulated by Corporate Revenue Management team

    • Implement the appropriate price/brand ladder positioning for the local markets, identifying opportunities to grow volume and/or profit
    • Perform competitive analyses to benchmark Dean Foods’ product portfolio vs. key competitors
    • Benchmark customer pricing vs. competitive intelligence, recent activity, and similar customers/channels to identify pricing risks and opportunities that can be managed proactively or through bids
    • Partner with Sales, Commercial Finance, and Logistics teams to develop competitive bids for strategic accounts and ice cream accounts
    • Assist with building key performance indicators for pricing and trade; identify outliers, research drivers and use analytics to challenge key stakeholders to course correct when necessary
    • Create clear and consistent price impact reporting to Commercial Leadership and Field teams
    • Lead a variety of ad-hoc analyses and projects to support Region and/or Corporate objectives within the Commercial organization as needed
    • Support quarterly forecast and annual budget process related to pricing
    • Perform variance analysis versus forecast, prior year, and plan; identify problem areas and make recommendations for improvement

    Minimum Requirements:

    • A minimum of 5 years finance experience, ideally with exposure to a CPG/Retail environment
    • A Bachelor’s degree is required, an MBA is preferred
    • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
    • Strong Excel skills that have been used to create complex models and reports
    • Ability to work independently, as well as with others, to effectively deliver results
    • Demonstrate a positive attitude, passion for learning and willingness to build new skills
    • Strong oral and written communication skills, including ability to present complex issues in a simple way
    • Must possess a strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple projects with a results orientation
    • Ability to prioritize and remain flexible while managing multiple projects at the same time
    • Experience interpreting syndicated volume and pricing data (ie IRI or ACNielsen) and use of statistical tools such as SAS, Minitab, or similar database analytics is a plus
